Symptoms of Heart Disease: the Signs of an Impending Danger.

There are numerous symptoms that indicate the possibility of a heart disease. However, the incidence of the symptoms of heart disease varies from one individual to another. Certain people may experience only one of the symptoms while others may experience multiple symptoms. Therefore, doctors often examine all the symptoms experienced by the individual together with a physical examination and the medical history of the individual before giving a diagnosis that is deemed as certain. There may be instances when no symptoms of heart disease appear in an individual until the heart problem reaches a late stage. Thereby, it is essential that any individual who is at potential risk for a heart disease should get routine checkups even when he does not experience any symptoms of heart disease. Every heart disease has different symptoms while there are numerous symptoms that are common to every kind of heart disease. For instance, chest pain or angina is a common symptom of coronary heart disease. A heart attack is usually accompanied by symptoms of dizziness, chest pain, palpitations and nausea. Atrial fibrillation is indicated by symptoms of palpitations, dizziness, pounding in the chest and fainting. The common symptoms of heart disease for all kinds of heart disease are pain, palpitations, swelling in the legs, shortness of breadth and fainting. Chest pain or angina is caused when the heart does not receive an adequate blood supply. This results in tightness in the chest area. In addition, pain in the muscles known as claudication may be caused due to inadequate supply of blood to the muscles.

Shortness of breadth often indicates a heart failure and is caused due to fluid seeping into the air spaces of the lungs. However, shortness of breadth may also be caused due to respiratory problems or a lung disorder. Other common symptoms of heart disease are fatigue caused due to the inadequate flow of blood to the muscles, palpitations that are often accompanied by shortness of breath and pain or weakness, light-headedness caused due to an inadequate blood flow or an abnormal heart rate or rhythm and swelling or numbness in skin color because the heart cannot pump out all the blood it receives from the rest of the body. The severity and incidence of the symptoms of heart disease vary in every individual depending on the severity of the disease and the kind of heart disease. A prudent approach is to be cautious to the incidence of any of these symptoms and to report to a health care provider immediately, if you experience any of the symptoms of heart disease.
